The first specialized international session in the field of women and family: The Position of Mary (PBUH) in Divine Religions (with a focus on women of resistance)

The session began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran.

The session secretary, Dr. Marzieh Minaii Pour, commenced by commemorating the birth of Hazrat Masih (Jesus) and honoring the personality of Hazrat Maryam (Mary) as a virtuous lady who walked in the footsteps of the prophets. Today, women, echoing the tears of Mary, stand united in the axis of resistance from the lands of the prophets and the homeland of Mary, aiming to make a significant global impact.

Bishop Vania Sergiz highlighted the differences between various Christian denominations, specifically discussing their views on Hazrat Maryam (Mary). He emphasized that his perspective was from the standpoint of the Catholic Church, and these differences exist among different Christian sects. Referring to the verses of the Holy Bible, he portrayed Hazrat Maryam as a patient, selfless, and content woman. Neglecting these qualities has led to the collapse of human societies, and today the slogan of human rights has played a fundamental role in the destruction and imbalance of roles. Equality between men and women does not mean that women should perform men’s work and vice versa; instead, they should complement each other, just as their nature is different, their roles will also be different. Mary’s words, unparalleled by anyone, can be a source of returning to divine sources and establishing the beauty and harmony that God intended for the world based on them.

He pointed out that in Genesis chapter 2, regarding Adam’s work in the Garden of Eden, the question arises whether modern humans protect it. In the Gospel, Hazrat Maryam (Mary) is mentioned seven times. In the Holy Bible, Hazrat Maryam introduces herself as the handmaid of God. Dr. Yahya Jahangiri mentioned that Hazrat Maryam was born as a daughter, but her mother wanted a son. However, God says about her that not every son is a daughter, but this daughter was born who became a savior. In an era when daughters were not mentioned, and Hazrat Maryam was referred to as the sister of Harun (Aaron), but in the Quran, she is mentioned as Maryam, and even though there were false accusations against her, she is introduced by God as the mother of Isa (Jesus). Today, nuns and priests should know that in the religion of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), her name is mentioned more, and in the land of Mary, women and children are killed today, who once were heralds of peace for the people of the world.
